Bunny Inside Egg, new Easter design

"Bunny Inside Egg"
new Easter card design
© 2012

Sometimes after I draw things, they take on a new meaning, become alive in my mind, sometimes entering my consciousness for days afterward. After I drew the "Bunny and Moon" tag design (viewable HERE on my blog), I've been waking up in the middle of the night for months dreaming about a bunny coming out behind the brush to look at the moon and wondering what it is!

Am I the only one who goes through this?

I don't know what to say about this beyond what I've said except I am reminded that there are other living beings sharing the same planet, looking at the same moon. It's not a wholly human world we live in and I am grateful for that. Bunnies are particularly innocent creatures, wonderfully soft and picked on by carnivores. In this phase of my art career, I have become entranced by them, so the newest bunny above is not just about Easter; it was an excuse to create another rabbit.

The card design is available year-round in my Artfire shop and seasonally through my Etsy shop

Be Lucky

Be Lucky!

new St. Patrick's Day card

I laughed when I made this design. It's SO conventional! My partner says that means it'll probably sell!

Available in season in my Etsy shop or year-round in my Artfire shop.

This is just one of many pieces of jewelry you will find from Cynthia in her Etsy shop.

Cynthia has been working with wire for several years. She is self taught jeweler and it became a full time occupation in 2006. She sells her work at a lot of weekend art and craft shows. She won first place in the jewelry category at the Oviedo Butterfly & Nature Art Show in 2007.

what I'm going through and new Etsy team

My life seemed to have taken a dive off a cliff on January 21 and hit bottom on February 14 (I think!! -- hopefully that is where the bottom is). Without going into too much detail, I haven't been posting or making many new things because of this new set of events, so I thought I'd do something different for a change and use the blog to promote some other artists while I am recuperating from events.

I joined a team on Etsy about a month ago. We are a team of about 80 sellers, all from the Artfire site initially (some of us are still sellers on Artfire). We are called the TART team. It is a very supportive team in every way imaginable -- personally and in business. I feel more connected to the sellers on it than I have ever felt about any other team I've joined in my life, including all of the brick and mortar art co-operatives I've joined. It is a fantastic group of talented people! I feel very lucky to be part of it!

Stay tuned!
